A photostat reference print of a background layout concept from the Walt Disney studios film The Black Cauldron (1985). Featuring an ominous yet beautiful layout drawing of the forest by legendary animation and layout artist, Mike Hodgson, the photostat was created in the studio and used for reference during production. Measuring 13"x33.5" with an image size of 11"x31.25" the photostat is in fair condition with moderate edge wear, numerous pin holes along edges from studio use, and a large tear on the upper left corner. The piece has been stored rolled.
